R.E.P.O. Heads Minecraft Mod

During the first month of R.E.P.O.'s viral takeover, I had the thought of bringing their awesome mouth movements into Minecraft. Because there are several voice chat plugins & mods out there already, we'd only have to work on implementing the animations.

So, I began to watch R.E.P.O. videos and streams to see how we can truly recreate this comedic feeling in Minecraft. Then it hit me, half of the logic comes from the eye movements. It's such an amazingly coded part of the game it blends in.

From here I knew I wanted to add the eyes as well. Now let me preface this- this mod was in no way an easy thing to tackle. Granted I wasn't responsible for the direct code, it brought challenges to my amazing developer Boyonk. I can't even imagine how I would do math in a 3D space to know where people's eyes should look. That is BEYOND ME.

From there, the eye movement & mouth animations were given toggle buttons and a fancy GUI to edit some properties like eye & mouth locations. And the rest is history...
